September set the tone for an exciting year ahead for AMA at ECU. From connecting with new students to hearing from inspiring leaders and celebrating campus culture, this month was all about building community and momentum.

Kicking Off at Get A Clue
We started the semester at Get A Clue, ECU’s biggest involvement fair, where hundreds of students surrounded us. Our table was very busy as we met both new and returning members. Seeing so many students curious about AMA reminded us why this event is such a highlight every fall. By the end of the day, many students had joined our GroupMe, and it felt amazing to be back in full swing!
Welcoming New Members
We hosted our first Interest Meeting of the semester, where we had the opportunity to tell everyone about our goals for the year and shared how to get involved in this club we proudly call family. It was great to see the mix of familiar faces and brand-new members in the room, all excited to be part of what AMA has planned.

Learning from Industry Leaders
A big highlight of the month was welcoming Jenny Gomez, CEO of Kitché, in partnership with ALPFA for Hispanic Heritage Month. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of La Rancherita Grill & Tequila Bar in Greenville, our members enjoyed delicious food while gaining invaluable insights from Jenny. Her discussion on the power of storytelling, culture, and creativity in marketing was not only informative but truly inspiring. Members left with new insights about how to approach campaigns with a fresh perspective.

Cultura & Chill Fundraiser
We celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month in a fun and delicious way with our Cultura & Chill Fundraiser alongside ALPFA. The MCSC Lawn was filled with energy and positivity as students enjoyed authentic La Michoacana popsicles. We nearly sold out, a clear sign of campus love for this event, and raised funds to support future programs for both organizations.
Percentage Night at Nash

September included a fun and engaging Percentage Night at Nash, where members came together over great food. Members enjoyed a relaxed evening connecting while helping to raise funds for upcoming AMA events and programs. Nights like this are a great reminder of the energy and support our community brings.
Game Night!
We wrapped up September with a fun and relaxed Game Night in the MCSC Game Lounge. Members hung out, played pool, raced through Mario Kart, and competed in other games on Xbox and PlayStation. There was so much laughter and friendly competition that filled the room, and it was amazing to see everyone connect, unwind, and just have fun together. It was a fun way to recharge after a busy month, connect with fellow members, and celebrate all the energy and excitement we built throughout September.
